GATE Application Photo Guidelines
Uploading a high-quality photograph and signature is mandatory for the GATE online application process. The organizing institute strictly enforces image dimensions and file sizes. If your uploaded images are blurry or incorrectly sized, your GATE admit card may be withheld.

Crucial Photograph Instructions for GATE
- Background: The photograph MUST have a white background. No colored backgrounds are allowed.
- Face Coverage: The face should occupy 60% to 70% of the image. Both ears must be clearly visible.
- No Accessories: Caps, hats, and dark glasses are strictly prohibited. Spectacles are allowed only if you wear them regularly, but ensure there is no glare on the lenses.
- Signature Ink: Draw a rectangular box of size 2 cm × 7 cm on white paper. Sign with black or dark blue ink within this box.
